Neo-apocalypse
During Mid-Autumn Festival in Xuchang the sky is hazy, especially at night. It isn’t fog. It isn’t smog, or at least no more than normal. The cities in central China are surrounded with villages and soy bean fields. The farmers, having worked all day to dry and extract the beans, set fire to the chaff and the smoke covers everything. The local village authorities try to police the fields, but it’s an impossible task.
